About Early Voting by Mail

Voting by mail is easy – and you can start as early as 70 days prior to an election.

Beginning 20 days before the election, absentee ballots will be mailed out within 24 hours after receiving your absentee ballot request. For voters not located in the United States (such as military personnel) we mail beginning 45 days before the election.

Use this form if you are a person soliciting absentee ballot request forms on behalf of a political party, candidate, or committee as defined by Iowa Code Chapter 68A and are using this form as a receipt in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 53.3.
