Check out Horray For Birds by Lucy Cousins in our first-ever Story Walk in Blue Grass! Walk through the pages of the story at Black Bear Park, 412 Fenceline Drive/Cub Lane. The pages will be placed along the path around the park and ending at the pavilion. The book walk will run from Wednesday, July 13th thru Sunday, July 18th. 

To kick off the event, there will be a craft to go along with the book at the park’s pavilion on Wednesday, July 13th from 5:30 – 7 pm.

Ready...Set...Adventure!

Excitement and fun await those who journey to the Scott County Library System and participate in this year's summer reading program, Read Beyond the Beaten Path. Readers of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the reading challenge and attend free library events all summer long, no library card required. This year's challenge is simple: build a reading habit and earn prizes.

Every reader who completes the challenge earns a free book, a 1-day Scott County pool pass (for children 0-12 years old), and an entry in the grand prize raffles. Repeat the program for more raffle entries or try the Bonus Challenge. [ Click Title for Full Article ]

The Scott County Library System now offers three options for mobile printing and the ability to print in color!  You can send your job from inside our locations or anywhere with an Internet connected device.  You will have 48 hours to pay for your job and pick up your prints.

The cost is $.10 for black and white or $.50 for color.
