Emergency Management Agency of Scott County has received the following information regarding seeds (seeds that you plant in the ground) that are being mailed to residents within the State of Iowa. These seeds are not labeled and could contain an “ invasive plant, seed-borne diseases, or other unknown seed treatments already applied.” Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship has been able to confirm that majority appear to be from China, and at least one Uzbekistan.

The Scott County Sheriff is releasing the name of the individual from Monday morning’s incident in Davenport. Marquis M. Tousant, 23yoa from Rock Island, Illinois was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing by the DCI and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Roxanna Moritz announced today that a post-election audit of the Iowa Primary Election will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 3:30 pm. in the Board Room of the Scott County Administrative Center.
