2023 Community Health Improvement Plan
We are excited to announce the release of the 2023 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for the Scott County and Rock Island County Health Departments! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic interrupting the implementation of the 2019 CHIP, community partners decided to transition several strategies and activities to this CHIP for all priority areas: mental health, nutrition, physical activity, and weight, and access to healthcare. This plan will help guide the collaborative efforts taking place over the next three years to improve the health of our community. In-Office Voting Available for March 7th Special Elections
Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins wants voters in local school districts to be aware of Special Elections on March 7th. “Voters in Davenport, Bettendorf, Durant and Calamus-Wheatland School Districts have public measures on the ballot,” said Tompkins. Early, in-office voting will begin on Wednesday, February 15th at 600 West 4th Street, 5th Floor in Davenport. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Test Sirens Did Not Sound as Expected
Today, February 7, 2023, during our normal monthly siren test, Scott Emergency Communications Center tested a new system for triggering outdoor warning sirens in Scott County. Sirens in three communities did not sound as expected during the test. Technicians immediately worked to troubleshoot.
