In response to the severe weather events of July 11, 2025, Scott County Emergency Management Commission has declared a State of Emergency for the county. The State of Emergency authorizes certain response and recovery efforts throughout the community.

Bettendorf, IA - The Quad Cities’ third annual community emergency resource fair will take place on Sunday, August 17, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State Street in Bettendorf, Iowa. The Be Ready QC Emergency Resource Fair is a family-friendly event focused on educating the public on emergency and disaster preparedness. Brian Payne, Scott County EMA Director, shared “the goal of the fair is to make our community more resilient in the face of disasters and emergency events.”

DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced today the Candidate Guide is available via the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office for the City-School Election this fall and can be found at their website. “I encourage candidates to turn in their packets early in the filing period to allow time for any concerns. We also have great resources linked to our website, elections.scottcountyiowa.gov/candidates, including a video that explains how to review the full process with specific details,” shared Tompkins.
