Updated polling place reminders coming soon to Scott County voters’ mailboxes Davenport – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins reminds voters that some polling places have changed due to redistricting across the state. This is the first Presidential General Election with the new changes. “Mailing Notices about polling place changes went out this week to every household with a registered Scott County voter. I want voters to be informed, so this is an extra communication effort to prepare voters for Election Day,” she said. The flu shot can prevent you from getting sick in the first place, but it can also reduce the severity of illness in people who do still get sick. Disaster Recovery Center Opening in Scott County DES MOINES, Iowa — FEMA is opening a Disaster Recovery Center on Thursday, Sept. 5 in Scott County to provide one-on-one help to people affected by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding this spring. Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.

Scott County Auditor Announces First Day to Submit Request for Absentee Ballots for the November 5 General Election DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced that Tuesday, August 27 is the first day for voters to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the November 5 General Election. Scott County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Kerri Tompkins announced today her office will conduct a Post-Election Audit on June 7, 2024, at 9:30 am at the Scott County Administrative Center, 600 W 4th Street, Davenport, Board Room on the first floor. The post-election audit will include the Scott County precinct of D73 selected by lot by the Office of Iowa Secretary of State. Each county in Iowa will conduct an audit of one precinct from that county.
