Take the whole family (or group of friends) on a scavenger hunt around Eldridge! Meet at the library for kickoff and then spend the evening searching. Play lawn games while judges tally the scores, plus support the library and purchase walking tacos and dessert to enjoy while you wait. The top teams will win awesome prizes.
All ages can participate, but at least one member of the group must be a responsible driver. Groups should have between 2-8 people total.

TAG is open to teens and tweens entering grades 6-12. Members will help plan teen library events; choose books/movies/video games/etc. for the teen and middle-grade collections; and create teen displays and decorate the children's area. Unleash your creativity and “duck-orate” your very own rubber duck as a favorite character from a book, movie, or video game! Submit a photo of your finished duck to enter our quacking good virtual contest. So waddle on over to the library for this drop-in program or to pick up a limited number of to-go kits. Supplies are limited, so don’t miss out! Adults, teens, and kids of all ages can participate. Contest submissions should be emailed to [email protected] by Friday, July 18th.
Join a Wapsi River Naturalist to explore how animals can level up in nature through metamorphosis and climb the food chain. You may even meet a live animal! Best for ages 7 & up.

The Summer Reading Challenge is almost done! Come celebrate at the Blue Grass Community Club Park from 5-7 PM with fun games, raffles, and a foamy, bubbly dance party! Tip: bring a towel and expect to get wet with our foam cannon!
