Teens, join us for book club every 3 months to discuss the book of the month!  February we are reading "The Do-Over" by Lynn Painter.  Snacks will be provided. This laid-back event is best for teens entering grades 6-12. Books available at the circulation desk at the Eldridge Branch.

Raising Readers

Raising Readers: Celebrating a Love of Stories

Families with kids in 1st-6th grade are invited to spend a cozy morning at the library. Play games, make crafts, and discover the magic of reading, together. Enjoy light refreshments and enter fun giveaways.

The first 30 families to attend will receive a goody bag. Plus, read to QCCAN therapy dogs between 10-11 AM!

Join us for a spirited morning of puzzle piecing competition! Each team will work a 300-piece puzzle. The two fastest teams will select a themed basket full of goodies as a prize. Graphic & Novel Reads

Join this unique book club, where you decide to read the graphic novel, OR the novel, OR both books to discuss with the group! Both book versions are available at the circulation desk to check out. We will be reading Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. For ages 10-18.  Please register at the circulation desk in person or by phone: 563-285-4794.

Members will help plan teen library events; choose books/movies/video games/etc. for the teen and middle-grade collections; and create teen displays and decorate the children's area. Therapy Dogs Visit!

Shake off stress and visit with a furry friend from QC CAN! Adults, teens, and kids of all ages are invited to visit with the therapy dogs--kids can even practice their reading skills. Registration is NOT required. Therapy dogs will visit every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6 PM.
