There was a single grave on the J.B. Young, Jr. High School property in the City of Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. The grave was located by the "little brick building". We were told Mrs. Elder was buried there in the 1850's or before. She had a son, Joe Elder. Mrs. Elder is not found in the 1850 Scott County, Iowa Census. Joseph Elder is.
