On Monday, February 13th Sheriff Lane swore in a new Scott County Deputy, Bradley Rubino.  Deputy Rubino will be attending the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and then joining the Patrol Division once he has finished his field training program later this year.  We would like to congratulate and welcome Deputy Rubino to the Sheriff’s Office. 

Biography:

Bradley Rubino was raised in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he graduated from Bettendorf High School in 2009. Brad graduated High School early and undertook a semesters worth of courses at Scott Community College while he waited for classes to begin in the fall at Western Illinois University. While attending Western Illinois University, Brad obtained an internship with the Bettendorf Police Department. During this time, Brad assisted the Bettendorf Police Emergency Response Unit, Traffic Bureau, Patrol, Special Operations and took part in both K-9 and ERU training. In May of 2013, Brad graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, along with a Minor in Accounting.

Shortly after Graduation, Brad acquired a position with AlliedBarton Security Services where he worked corporate security for John Deere at the World Headquarters in Moline, Illinois. In August of 2014, Brad worked at an armored truck company called Garda Cash Logistics as an armed driver and armed messenger. While maintaining employment with Garda Cash Logistics, Brad also began working for the Scott County Conservation Department as a Seasonal Park Patrol Officer.

In May of 2016, Brad began his law enforcement career as a Correctional Officer for the Scott County Sheriff's Office and in June he was sworn in as a Reserve Deputy for the Scott County Sheriff's Office.

Brad currently resides in Scott County with his wife Lindsey.
