On Tuesday, November 21st, at 0900, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Swearing In Ceremony in the Sheriff’s Office Conference Room on the second floor of the Scott County Courthouse. Jake Turner and Adrian Jones have been hired as the newest deputy sheriffs for Scott County.

Jake Turner was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Assumption High School in 2014.  He earned his Associate’s Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2016.  Jake was on the Dean’s List each semester at Kirkwood Community College and was involved in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Jake was hired as a corrections officer for the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in April, 2017. Jake currently resides in Davenport with his wife, Samantha. 

Adrian Jones was born and raised in Southern California.  He graduated from A.B. Miller High School in Fantana, CA in 2002 and then attended Victor Valley College for firefighting in 2005.  Adrian moved to Alabama in 2009 where he worked as a correctional officer until 2013.  In 2014 Adrian moved to Davenport and worked as a federal protection service security officer with the Social Security Administration and joined the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Reserves in 2015.  Adrian lives in Davenport with his wife and 2 children ages 10 and 10 months.  Adrian’s interests include music, playing guitar and drums and working on cars.
