Scott County Jail Unsung Hero Award goes to Officer Bo!

The Unsung Hero citation was created to recognize outstanding performance by staff who step up and go above and beyond in their duties for the jail.

This quarter’s unsung hero has become an everyday fixture in our jail.  Since the month of July he has voluntarily worked every weekend and holiday.  Though we have many people who are dedicated and work a lot of overtime this individual has set a very high bar that will be difficult for others to match in the future.

He always comes to work with a positive attitude even when he has just come in for the sole purpose of helping with many undesirable tasks.  During his normal shifts he always checks with the sergeants to see if there are any additional tasks, even when it is about time for him to leave for the day.  He regularly helps return meal carts to the kitchen, searches inmate workers and helps the kitchen staff with deliveries. 

When I think of a hard-working and dedicated individual this is one of the first people that come to mind.  As I’m sure you have already figured out who this quarter’s unsung hero is, please help us to thank Bo for his performance.
