Swearing In Ceremony

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 0900, the Scott County Sheriff's Office will hold a Swearing In Ceremony at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters at 3206 South 16th Avenue in Eldridge.  Paul Pridemore been hired as the newest deputy sheriff for Scott County and Jim Morrissey and Bruce Wold will be sworn in as the newest reserves.

Paul Pridemore was born in Clinton, IA and raised in Bettendorf, IA. Paul attended Bettendorf schools where he met his wife Johanna. Paul joined the Marine Corps in November 2000. Paul served as a Marine for eight and a half years and had two combat deployments in Iraq and two deployments to Bahrain, where he conducted the noncombatant evacuation operation in Lebanon during his service. Paul joined the Scott County Sheriff's Department as a Correctional Officer in 2016 where he completed training for Corrections Emergency Response Team, Transport Officer, Field Training Officer, and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Paul lives in Bettendorf with his wife, Johanna, three daughters, Olivia, Isabelle, Addison, and son, Damian.

James Morrissey was born at Andrew's AFB Hospital near Washington D.C.  Jim graduated from Davenport West High School and was in the U.S. Army.  Jim has worked previously for Canadian Pacific, Buffalo, Blue Grass, and Davenport as a police officer.  Jim is married with 2 children.  He is looking forward to continue to serve the public as a member of the SCSO Reserve.

Bruce Wold has been married for 29 years with two sons, two daughter-in-law‘s, and two grandsons. Bruce worked on the railroad for 28 years. Bruce was a member of the Princeton Fire Dept between 2001 and 2010 in various ranks between certified Fire Fighter to Fire Chief. Bruce joined the Scott County Sheriff reserve in 2011 and enjoyed volunteering until 2017 when he had to relocate to the Kansas City Missouri area for the railroad. Bruce and his wife moved back to Scott County last fall and is looking forward to re-joining the Scott County Sheriff’s Reserves. He very much enjoys spending time with his grandsons, camping and fishing.
