Corrections Officer Larson Named Unsung Hero

Corrections Officer Shayne Larson Named Unsung Hero

The Unsung Hero citation was created to recognize exceptional performance by staff who step up and go above and beyond in their duties for the jail. Officer Shayne Larson has been with the jail for 16 years and has consistently been a bright spot for the County. Officer Larson is well liked and respected by his peers and routinely jumps in to help when others won’t.

Through his positive attitude and dedicated work ethic, Officer Larson typically makes everyone’s day better. Officer Larson is one of the few staff members that can work at any post in the jail and maintains his qualifications as a Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) member, Field Training Officer, and Transport Officer.

In a time where it’s hard to find people to work, not only does Officer Larson show up ready to go, he’s only used one full day of UPTO since December 2019. Officer Larson’s perpetual dedication to his job and the attitude that he shows up with every day makes him a pleasure to work with.

Congratulations to Shayne Larson. You have earned this quarter's Unsung Hero Award!
