Color Create-It Kits: Red Week

Each week brings a new wave of color in the form of all-ages, screen-free, take-home craft kits based on a color theme. This week is Red Week! Pick up your rainbow-themed kits from any Scott County Library branch, while supplies last. Missed the kit? Check out the attached guide for supply lists and craft instructions.

Glow-in-the-Dark Movie Party: End of Summer Celebration!

Celebrate your summer of reading and learning at this fun & free glow-in-the-dark movie night. Stop by the Reading Garden of the Eldridge branch library starting at 7:00pm for crafts and snacks. Bring a blanket to sit on. The movie will start shortly after 8pm (rated PG, runtime 113 minutes, The Mitchells Vs. the Machines).

Chalk the Walk! (multiple locations)

Spread joy, optimism, and inspiration through the magical power of sidewalk chalk! Decorate the Blue Grass branch’s sidewalk with positive messages and pictures--use the summer reading theme “Reading Colors Your World” for inspiration. All ages welcome. Chalk provided or bring your own. Groups will be assigned sidewalk squares to maintain social distance.
