Absentee voting is available from Wednesday, May 13 until Monday, June 1 at the Auditor’s Office, Scott County Administrative Center, 600 West 4th Street, 5th Floor, Davenport. Voting at the Administrative Center is Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Voting will also be available on Saturday, May 30 from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. There were no valid petitioned satellite locations.
DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced the period to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the June 2 Primary Election is now open. Iowa law allows county auditors to accept absentee ballot requests no more than 70 days before an election. “Please plan ahead if you know you will not be able to vote in-person on June 2,” said Tompkins. The completed absentee ballot request form is due in our office at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18. The notice is required to notify taxpayers of proposed tax levies by each overlapping tax district for an individual parcel. Individual letters will be mailed to each parcel owner of property within Scott County. Parcel owners will see each property tax parcel’s city, school, and county public hearing date, time, and location as well as contact information for each taxing body.

The results of the Primary Election will determine the candidates for the Democratic and Republican parties for offices in the November General Election on November 3. Scott County Auditor Announces Candidate Withdrew Recount Request from 2025 City School Election DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins is announcing Chris J. Jerome withdrew his recount request for the 7th Ward race in the City of Davenport. The recount began at 9:00 a.m. with the four 7th Ward precincts: D71, D72, D73 and D74. These ballots were run through the central count machines using the same program from election day. All numbers were an exact match with the election day results. Therefore, Mr. Jerome chose to stop the recount.

You must submit a request for an absentee ballot to receive a ballot via mail for each separate election.
