Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins is announcing an Administrative Audit for three precincts: D22 (Seventh Day Adventist School), D54 (YWCA) and B53 (TBK Sports Complex). There were intermittent issues with the DS200 machines in getting a Ballot Reject Code. An ES&S representative worked with auditor staff on the machines throughout the day. It is possible the results are accurate; however, it is important to confirm. ES&S will conduct a thorough investigation of the machines to determine the reason for the Ballot Reject Code.

Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced that Tuesday, August 25 is the first day for voters to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the November 3 General Election. You must request an absentee ballot to receive a ballot via the mail. Ballots will begin to be mailed on October 14. The completed absentee ballot request form is due in our office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19.

Absentee voting is available from Wednesday, May 13 until Monday, June 1 at the Auditor’s Office, Scott County Administrative Center, 600 West 4th Street, 5th Floor, Davenport. Voting at the Administrative Center is Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Voting will also be available on Saturday, May 30 from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. There were no valid petitioned satellite locations.

DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced the period to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the June 2 Primary Election is now open. Iowa law allows county auditors to accept absentee ballot requests no more than 70 days before an election. “Please plan ahead if you know you will not be able to vote in-person on June 2,” said Tompkins. The completed absentee ballot request form is due in our office at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Request forms are available in the office (M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), via download from the Auditor’s webpage or the Auditor’s Office will mail forms to voters upon request, 563-326-8631.
