Where does public speaking rank in terms of things you wish you could do more often? If it is sandwiched between getting a root canal and watching paint dry, this training session might be for you.  Most people do not come by their public speaking abilities on talent alone. These skills are developed through time, learning and of course lots of practice.  Instructor Dan Whitley will guide attendees to best prepare for and refine their current presentation skills.  Objectives from the session include:

• Practice of verbal and non-verbal communication skills

• How to dial back nervousness

• How to create targeted PowerPoint presentations

• Learning how video and audio can enhance presentations

• How to enrich the learning experience with humor, questions and discussion

Dan Whitley has over twenty years of providing management training for supervisors and managers in core skills such as communication, customer service, dealing with difficult employees, motivation and team building. Prior to his retirement, Instructor Whitley was with Deere and Company as their Employee Development Trainer. He currently teaches part-time at Black Hawk College where his expertise is in personal and professional development for employees as well as students.
