The results from last fall’s Healthy Lifestyle testing are in…. There were 185 participants who screened. Forty (40) were found to have 3 or more risk factors, i.e. Metabolic Syndrome. Of those 40 individuals, two (2) left employment prior to the spring retesting. Six (6) people chose to participated in Weight Watchers. In the WW group 3 maintained the same number of risk factors, 1 reduced a risk factor and 2 are no longer considered to have Metabolic Syndrome! Thirty-two (32) participated in the Naturally Slim program. Forty-two percent (42%) in the Naturally Slim classes no longer are considered to have Metabolic Syndrome! That means 15 people no longer have Metabolic Syndrome, others reduced a risk factor and many made improvements in a risk factor. Great news! WageWorks has enhanced their participant payment options to include a Pay My Provider feature. Participants will be able to make payments directly to their healthcare or daycare provider right from their WageWorks account. This is a convenient alternative to paying a provider or hospital with personal funds and getting reimbursed. With the Pay My Provider option, participants can schedule a payment directly from the participant site.
