Parcel Search Improvements

The Scott County Assessor’s Office has made some exciting changes to the Scott County parcel search and results. We feel the changes make the service more interactive and user-friendly, especially for commercial and industrial property searches in Scott County.

Some of changes include:

Parcel Query/Search Page

  • Doing Business As Search
    • Can now search commercial properties by the business name

Assessment Summary Area

  • Rearranged parcel owner and description data/information
  • Doing Business As Label
    • Shows business name of commercial and industrial parcels at top of property page (near owner and property address and classification areas)

Commercial Building Data

  • Commercial Total Gross Building Area (GBA)
    • Sum total of the square feet of all buildings on commercial parcels
    • Also breaks down the square feet of each separate building and addition 
  • Commercial Total Units
    • Displays the sum total of all apartment and hotel/motel units on a property
    • Also breaks down by how many in each separate building
  • Commercial Building and Addition Labels
    • Each area of each building is labeled to match the sketch layout
  • Commercial Building Extras:
    • Labels all building extras for each building and gives details of each
  • Commercial Building Adjustments:
    • Labels all building adjustments for each building and gives details of each

Commercial Yard Items

  • Commercial Yard Items: 
    • Labels and shows details of all yard items on commercial parcels 

Commercial Valuations, Sales and Permits

  • Valuation:    
    • Added three years of values (two years previously)   
    • Added the “Land Multi-Residential” line value 
    • Added Exempt line value 
  • Sales: 
    • Sale information is always live, not static, and updates nightly
    • Added more lines of sales data per parcel (ie: more sale displayed)
  • Permits: 
    • Permit information is always live, not static, and updates nightly
    • Added more lines of permit data per parcel (ie: more sale displayed)

Commercial Comparables Search

  • Sale Date
    • Added more options.
