DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced the period to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the June 2 Primary Election is now open. Iowa law allows county auditors to accept absentee ballot requests no more than 70 days before an election. “Please plan ahead if you know you will not be able to vote in-person on June 2,” said Tompkins. The completed absentee ballot request form is due in our office at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Request forms are available in the office (M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), via download from the Auditor’s webpage or the Auditor’s Office will mail forms to voters upon request, 563-326-8631. The notice is required to notify taxpayers of proposed tax levies by each overlapping tax district for an individual parcel. Individual letters will be mailed to each parcel owner of property within Scott County. Parcel owners will see each property tax parcel’s city, school, and county public hearing date, time, and location as well as contact information for each taxing body.

Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced that her office is accepting nomination papers from candidates for partisan county offices for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election. The results of the Primary Election will determine the candidates for the Democratic and Republican parties for offices in the November General Election on November 3.
