Updated polling place reminders coming soon to Scott County voters’ mailboxes Davenport – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins reminds voters that some polling places have changed due to redistricting across the state. This is the first Presidential General Election with the new changes. “Mailing Notices about polling place changes went out this week to every household with a registered Scott County voter. I want voters to be informed, so this is an extra communication effort to prepare voters for Election Day,” she said. Disaster Recovery Center Opening in Scott County DES MOINES, Iowa — FEMA is opening a Disaster Recovery Center on Thursday, Sept. 5 in Scott County to provide one-on-one help to people affected by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding this spring. Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.
