Leadership Training Opportunity - Movie Club

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 9:00am to 4:00pm

Learning leadership from the movies is a fun way to absorb the lessons and the process also offers a tangible, specific and immediately accessible “how-to” guide in applying leadership lessons to real life situations. The film, based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis, follows the Oakland Athletics’ successful 2002 season. With a limited payroll, General Manager Billy Beane’s unconventional wisdom, out-of-the box tactics, genius player selection and strong team building led the A’s to a highly successful season which included a twenty game winning streak.

Donna Honald and Chris Battell will help guide us to:

  • Examine characteristics and actions exhibited by top-performing leaders.

  • Understand and apply a model for managing change.

  • Identify ideal team players with Patrick Lencioni’s model: Hungry, Humble, Smart.

  • Tackle the right problem with the right questions and the right measurements for the right results.

  • Plan your leadership success.

Join us on April 12 from 9AM – 4PM at SECC (1100 E. 46th St.) for this learning experience that blends entertainment with education and plan to boost your leadership skills and success. Please visit the signup genius link below to register for this session.
