Sheriff Lane sworn in Reserve Deputy Matt Fowler, Deputy Harrison Jestel, Deputy Eric Long, Deputy Nicholas Bougie, and Deputy Kavon Grubbs-Hampton at today’s swearing in ceremony held in Eldridge. We would like to Congratulate and Welcome these new Deputies on their new careers in law enforcement and dedication to Scott County.

Swearing In and Promotional Ceremony

On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 0900, the Scott County Sheriff's Office will hold a Swearing in Ceremony and Promotional Ceremony at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters at 3206 South 16th Avenue in Eldridge. Matt Fowler will be sworn in as a reserve deputy sheriff, Harrison Jestel, Eric Long, Nicholas Bougie and Kavon Grubbs-Hampton have been hired as the newest deputy sheriffs for Scott County and Sergeant Sean Thompson and Deputy Chad Weipert will be promoted.

2023 Memorial Day - Offices Closed

Scott County, City and State offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2023 in observation of Memorial Day. Additionally, the General Store is closed Saturday.

Countywide Burn Ban October 21, 2022

November 6, 2022 - Countywide Burn Ban for Scott County, Iowa, has been Lifted

The Scott County Emergency Management Agency, in conjunction with the local Fire Chiefs and the State Fire Marshalls Office, has determined that the danger to life and property in Scott County, Iowa, has been reduced enough to remove the Countywide Burn Ban.

In pursuant to Iowa Code 100.40(1) (1995), Scott County’s Burn Ban has been lifted effective 11/06/2022 at 08:00 am for all of Scott County, Iowa.

On August 19th two of our newest Deputies graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement 304th Basic Academy. We would like to welcome back Deputy Pridemore and Raabe and congratulate them on the job well done.

Swearing-In Deputy Law, Ahrens, Johannes

The Scott County Sheriff's Office held a Swearing-in Ceremony this morning swearing-in Clinton Law, Kobe Ahrens, and Jeremy Johannes as our newest Deputies. They will be attending the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy for the next 17 weeks.
