County Offices and Departments Closed to the Public.

March 18, 2020

Scott County, Iowa is on the front line of the COVID-19 event; working with Scott and Rock Island Emergency Management Agencies and Scott and Rock Island Health Departments. We continue to review the recommendations of our local, state, and federal health officials. The situation continues to evolve hour by hour resulting in confusion for our citizens and customers with regards to our facilities and services. The health and safety of our community and staff is of utmost importance. Please follow the guidance from CDC and IDPH as it relates to social distancing. With the assistance of all community members we can work together to lessen the impact on our citizens and medical facilities.

Effective 4:00pm March 18, 2020, county departments and offices are closing to the public.  This includes the Administration Center and offices in the courthouse, along with other administrative offices throughout the county. Court activities may remain open for essential proceedings, additional guidance will be offered by the courts.

This closure will allow staff to continue to work and serve the community in these ever changing times. We will reevaluate this action as the event progresses.

On March 19th, the front door of the Administration Center will be opened 15 minutes before the Board of Health Public meeting at 12:00pm and Board of Supervisor’s Committee of Whole & Board meeting at 4:00pm.

If you need to reach the county or state offices located in county facilities, please visit our webpage at www.scottcountyiowa.com for email and phone numbers to departments and offices. Some service areas may provide the ability to make an appointment for urgent needs.

If you have questions about COVID-19 we urge you to call the state hotline at 2-1-1.
