The assessment protest period has officially ended for the year 2026.

The time has ended to informally protest an assessment with the Assessor's Office, which is from April 2 to April 25 annually.

The time has ended to formally protest an assessment with the Board of Review, which is from April 2 to April 30 annually.

If you still have questions or want to discuss your assessment, property owners may contact the Assessor's Office to have their property's assessment reviewed informally but only for the upcoming year's assessment. This typically means the assessor will answer questions only at this time but may also put you on a list to visit your property later in the year.

Also, an informal review of your assessment can happen at any time of year [October to January preferred] by simply contacting the Assessor's Office and scheduling a property inspection. The advantage of requesting an inspection prior to the April protest period can potentially resolve issues early and alleviate the need to protest in April.
