Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to Iowa businesses and residents affected by the Hotel Davenport Apartments building collapse that occurred May 28, announced Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman of the U.S. Small Business Administration. SBA acted under its own authority to declare a disaster in response to a request SBA received from Gov. Kim Reynolds on June 7.

Scott County Secondary Roads and Conservation, in partnership with the Waste Commission of Scott County, will be assisting with the collection of debris from recent Mississippi River flooding for residents living in unincorporated Scott County.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a disaster proclamation for Scott County as one of several Iowa Counties impacted by flooding.

Rock Island and Scott County residents impacted by flooding and needing support with sheltering are encouraged to contact the American Red Cross. A flood hotline for has been established for residents and staff are standing by to take calls.
