On behalf of the Scott County Emergency Management Commission, Scott County, our local Communities, and Milestones Area Agency on Aging, we are announcing the new Alert Iowa messaging tool available for community messaging. 

*Important Information to Know*

  1. Alert Iowa messaging is online and ready to serve communities and citizens.  Scott County Emergency Management Agency & Partners will continue to develop the new enhancements of this mass notification system
  2. Residents, Businesses, and Persons who work in Scott County are encouraged to register for the new system by visiting our website, where they can obtain the following information:
    1. Online Alert Iowa registration
      1. To include how-to videos & document
    2. A link to the live press conference that took place on 10/04/2021
    3. A list of “question & answers” that may help provide additional details
    4. Non-English instructions for this campaign
  3. Also attached is our pre-drafted “question & answer” document that may help to provide you with additional details.

As we continue to develop new software & its functions, we will be offering additional public opt-in options to receive communication. 

Individuals 60 and older who may need help with registering for Alert Iowa can contact Milestones Area Agency on Aging for assistance at 1-855-410-6222 between 8:00 – 4:30, Monday – Friday.  For after-hours or weekend calls, you may leave a message providing your name and phone number, and your call will be returned.
