PUBLIC COMMUNICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Press Conference Launching the Enhancements of our Alert Iowa Messaging System

What: Please join the Scott County Emergency Management Agency and other Community Partners as we launch the enhancements of our public communication tool, Alert Iowa.

Communication can be challenging between the different options that we have to choose from, the different needs our community members may have to receive that information, and the timeliness of receiving that information.

The Alert Iowa messaging tool now allows our community members to be in control.  You will be able to select what information you want to receive, how you want to receive it, and when you want to receive that information.  Additionally, you will be able to decide & manage what information you would like to share with the Scott County Emergency Management Agency relating to Access and Functional needs.  Such as dependency on electricity for medical equipment, mobility limitations, etc.

We are excited to inform you about the wide-ranging options that everyone will have.

When: October 04, 2021, at 11:00 AM

Where:  Scott County Emergency Operations Center - 1100 E. 46th Street Davenport, IA

Who: Individuals speaking at media briefing or available for questions include:

Brian Payne | Scott County Emergency Management Agency

Nicole Gleason | City of Davenport

Becky Passman | Milestones Area Agency on Aging

Thanks

Brian P. Payne

Deputy Director
