Davenport, Iowa – Due to a water main break, the Scott County Treasurer’s Office location at the County General store (behind the Village Shopping Center) is temporarily closed until further notice. To ensure continued access for the public, all services normally conducted at the County General Store location will be available at the downtown office located in the Scott County Administrative Center.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, the Scott Emergency Communications Center (SECC) experienced an intermittent disruption affecting some incoming 911 calls. The issue began at approximately 4:40 p.m. and lasted for about 30 minutes. During that time, some 911 calls were received successfully, while others appeared as abandoned and/or dropped calls.

DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced the period to submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the June 2 Primary Election is now open. Iowa law allows county auditors to accept absentee ballot requests no more than 70 days before an election. “Please plan ahead if you know you will not be able to vote in-person on June 2,” said Tompkins. The completed absentee ballot request form is due in our office at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Request forms are available in the office (M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), via download from the Auditor’s webpage or the Auditor’s Office will mail forms to voters upon request, 563-326-8631. Scott County Auditor Announces Candidate Withdrew Recount Request from 2025 City School Election DAVENPORT – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins is announcing Chris J. Jerome withdrew his recount request for the 7th Ward race in the City of Davenport. The recount began at 9:00 a.m. with the four 7th Ward precincts: D71, D72, D73 and D74. These ballots were run through the central count machines using the same program from election day. All numbers were an exact match with the election day results. Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins announced voters can submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the Davenport City Primary Election on October 7 and the City School Election on November 4. “It is a unique time as both forms can be requested and turned in together,” said Tompkins. You must submit a request for an absentee ballot to receive a ballot via mail for each separate election.
