Performs mowing of road foreslopes on the Secondary Road System and a variety of maintenance on tractors.
This is a seasonal position lasting through a portion of the fall.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6AM - 4:30 PM through August, then Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM beginning in September.
1. Operates a Mower Tractor with side and rear mowers and occasionally a boom mower.
2. Provides minor maintenance and repair to Mower Tractor.
3. May perform maintenance work to include minor repairs of buildings at Eldridge Facility.
4. Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Work Experience:
Previous experience with tractors is preferred. Knowledge of Scott County Secondary Road system is preferred.
Essential Skills:
Ability to work effectively with staff, co-workers and the general public.
Ability to operate equipment with safety in mind is essential.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required (verified). CDL preferred.
Ability to exemplify, by his or her actions, the County's PRIDE philosophy.
