Pay Plans

Scott County utilizes the Hay Guide Chart-Profile Method of Job Evaluation for evaluating and classifying positions, based on the position’s job description. Under the Hay system, each position is evaluated and assigned a point total based on the "know-how" required for the job, and the degree of "problem solving" and "accountability" present in the job.

The resulting Hay point value assigned to the position is the basis for determining an appropriate pay range in the attached "Pay Plan".
