Under basic supervision, the Receptionist serves as a point of contact for the office by greeting walk-ins answering phones and providing assistance, information, and direction.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Answers phone and directs calls to appropriate parties; responds to general inquiries.
Serves as point of contact for walk-in clients; assists with filling out paperwork; provides directions to appointments; collects and signs for paperwork.
Verifies meetings with attorneys and other staff.
Transfers and saves notifications in EDMS and Judicial Dialog screens; completes data entry.
Receives, opens, and distributes mail to office.
Assists in the delinquent fine program by processing paperwork and release letters and answering questions in person or over the phone.
Demonstrates the ability to exemplify, by his/her actions, the County PRIDE philosophy.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, an associate's degree is preferred; AND three (3) years of customer service or clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of:
Customer service principles, practices, and etiquette.
General office policies.
Time management practices.
Skill in:
Typing and entering data with speed and accuracy.
Interacting tactfully and professionally with County staff, outside agencies, and the public.
Operating a computer to include standard software and some specialized software.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
License and Certification Requirements
