Lake Restoration Notice:

The Beach and Boathouse at West Lake Park are closed for the season. We look forward to re-opening these activities in 2021 after completing the lake restoration project.

All other activities will remain open, including the campgrounds, shelters, cabins, disc golf course and trails.

West Lake Park

West Lake Park.

West Lake Park is a 620 acre facility offering four lakes for fishing and/or swimming. A boat dock, parking lot, handicap fishing dock, beach area, and paddle boat rentals are available for the water enthusiast. For the landlubbers - the park offers picnic facilities, playground areas, modern restrooms and two campground areas with electrical, water, and/or sewer hook-ups. Both camping areas have handicap accessible comfort stations.

Come Join Wapsi River Center staff to create some sustainable and fun seasonal crafts. In this program we will talk about reducing waste by upcycling to create new from old. We will make natural ornaments and upcycled gift bags made from old calendar pages.

This progra is FREE! All supplies will be provided. Space is limited, so pelase call to register at 563-328-3286.

The Wapsi River Environmental Education Center of the Scott County Conservation Board is seeking qualified individuals to serve as a temporary AmeriCorps 4-H Environmental Education Member.

The Three-Quarter time position requires the successful completion of at least 1200 hours of service by term end (9 months, approximately 30-40 hours weekly).
