Coming in 2026: Renovated Loop-Style Group Campground at Incahias

Big changes are coming to Incahias Campground in 2026 as a major renovation is underway to modernize and improve the group camping experience in Scott County. The new campground layout includes three circular camp loops, each designed to support small groups and families with improved access, modern amenities, and efficient traffic flow. 

More details, maps, and reservation information will be posted as the project progresses.

Come learn about the many wild edibles in your own neck of the woods. We will focus on foraging basics, foraging safety, identifying plants, and preparing wild edibles. We will take a hike outdoors to identify and forage some of the winter wild edibles available during this time. After the hike, put your cast iron skills to the test and make pancakes served with hicory syrup and tea out of our foraged ingredients over a campfire!

Join Wapsi Naturalists to discover the wonders of winter at the Wapsi River Center. The day will offer opportunities to get outside and explore, meet Animal Ambassador owls, and indulge in delicious chili! Please dress accordingly, waterproof boots are suggested.
