The event will kick off at the West Lake Campground Office in the Park Terrace Campground (Gate 5). During the event, volunteers will learn proper tree planting techniques and care. Then volunteers will put their knowledge to work by helping staff plant 15 trees throughout the campground and other areas of the park. All ages are welcome!

Scott County Conservation obtained these trees through the Iowa DNR Community Forestry Grant Program. The grant will also help purchase additional trees for Buffalo Shores and Scott County Park.
