COVID-19 - Park Restroom Closures

Closed restroom sign.

Scott County Conservation parks continue to look at ways to help protect the health of visitors and staff during the COVID-19 health emergency. Our parks are still open. However, in accordance to CDC guidelines and in response to the Iowa state parks decision to reduce certain park amenities as part of the COVID-19 response, we are announcing the following operational changes, effectively immediately:

  • All bathrooms, including pit latrines and shower-houses, are closed until further notice. Visitors should bring their own hand sanitizer, as no soap or sanitizer will be available in the park.

Your patience and support is appreciated as we all work together to keep each other safe. We will be monitoring the situation and may continue to make changes to park and golf operations as needed.
