Plan Development:
Scott County is in the process of updating it’s 2018 Multi-Jurisdiction Local Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The County contracted with Bi-State Regional Commission to guide the preparation of a local hazard mitigation plan update. The County and Bi-State are coordinating with representatives from participating communities, a broad range of stakeholders, and the public to capture a full and accurate picture of potential hazards that could impact the area.
Hazard Mitigation Plans are required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to be updated every 5 years. The current plan will expire in June 2023.
