The Iowa Care For Yourself - Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (CFY-BCC) is an ongoing initiative to reduce deaths from breast and cervical cancer. Services available through the Care For Yourself program include: pap tests, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) tests, pelvic exams, clinical breast exams, mammograms, needed diagnostic testing, and patient navigation.  If the tests received through the Care for Yourself BCC Screening Program show breast or cervical cancer, local staff will help participants find treatment.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 21-64 Years of age
  • Have a monthly income of $3,325 (take home pay) or less;
    • Add $1,183 for each additional household member

The Scott County Board of Health has a contract with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and MercyOne Genesis to provide this program in Scott County. To learn more about the program, contact the program coordinator.
