Care for Yourself - Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program

The Iowa Care For Yourself Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCCEDP) is an ongoing initiative to reduce deaths from breast and cervical cancer. Services available thought the Care For Yourself program include: pap tests, HPV tests, pelvic exams, clinical breast exams, mammograms, diagnostic testing, and patient navigation.  If the tests received through the Care for Yourself BCCEDP show breast or cervical cancer, local staff will help participants find treatment.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 21-64 Years of age
  • Have a monthly income of $2,832 (take home pay) or less;
    • Add $983 for each additional household member

The Scott County Board of Health has a contract with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Genesis Cancer Center to provide this program in Scott County. For more information about the program please call:
