ServSafe

The Iowa Food Code requires all establishments to have a Certified Food Protection Manager on staff.  The ServSafe training is available to help facilities understand and meet industry standards and food code requirements.  Here are ServSafe opportunities in Scott County:

  • Scott County Health Department:  the course is taught by the department’s food inspectors and is offered 4 times a year at the Scott County Administrative Center. 
  • The next ServSafe class is April 12-14, 2023 from 8:00am-1:00pm. Class is limited to 30 people and reservations are on a first come first serve basis. 
  • Eastern Iowa Community College will be offering ServSafe classes.  The course is for foodservice managers and teaches basic sanitation principles.  It also fulfills the demonstration of knowledge requirement under the Iowa Food Code.  Learn more and register here:  https://www.eicc.edu/continuing-education/
