ServSafe

The ServSafe training is available to help facilities understand and meet industry standards and food code requirements. The State of Iowa follows the 2017 FDA Food Code, which requires most food establishments to have one Certified Food Protection Manager on staff.  If the only Certified Food Protection Manager leaves the facility, the food establishment has 6 months to get a new Certified Food Protection Manager in place. Here are ServSafe opportunities in Scott County:

  • Scott County Health Department: The course is taught by the department’s food inspectors and is offered 4 times a year at the Scott County Administrative Center in the Boardroom on the 1st floor.
