National Immunization Awareness Month 2025

vaccines keep our community safe

We all benefit from widespread protection against diseases like pertussis, measles, and polio, thanks to vaccines! Each August, we celebrate National Immunization Awareness Month to recognize the importance of vaccines in protecting our community from these preventable diseases.

We offer same-day access appointments Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and an immunization clinic on Wednesdays from 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. for vaccines through SCHD if they meet one of the following Vaccines for Children (VFC) program criteria:

  • Medicaid-eligible
  • American Indian/Alaskan Native
  • Uninsured
  • Underinsured (defined as a child with health insurance, but the benefit plan does not include routine immunizations)

Back to School Clinics at SCHD!
