Cardiac arrest happens when the entire heart stops beating, and can happen anywhere to anyone at any time. For every one-minute CPR is not performed on a person in cardiac arrest the chance of survival decreases by 10%.
That’s why the Quad Cities HEARTSafe Coalition provides free trainings to empower and increase bystander CPR to save more lives. Since 2016, our volunteers have trained more than 5,150 Quad Citizens in Hands-Only CPR. Our 30 minute trainings are 100% free to any workplace, church, organization and/or group in the Quad Cities area. We also provide a free Family & Friends CPR Anytime Kit from the American Heart Association for the group to keep on hand for future trainings.
