ask your healthcare provider about the flu shot
The best way to protect yourself from the seasonal flu and potential complications is to get the flu shot every year. The flu shot can prevent you from getting sick in the first place, but it can also reduce the severity of illness in people who do still get sick. Visit https://www.vaccines.gov/ to find a vaccine location near you. You may need to check with the location to ensure they have vaccine available. Through the Vaccines for Adults (VFA) program, the influenza vaccine is available to uninsured and underinsured adults 19 years of age and older. Call us at 563-326-8618 to check eligibility and schedule an appointment!
