Daylight Savings Time

This daylight savings time set your clocks, check your stocks (logo, clock and canned goods).

It is that time of year!

When you set your clocks, remember to check your stock of emergency supplies.

Set Your Clocks, Check Your Stocks

Having a stockpile is important during a disaster, but it can be hard to remember to check your supplies. That’s why Get Ready: Set Your Clocks encourages Americans to use the clock change as a reminder.

Make sure that your stockpile includes:

  • A three-day supply of water, with one gallon of water per person per day
  • A three-day supply of non-perishable food
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Manual can opener
  • First-aid kit
  • Radio
  • Prescription drugs, sanitary supplies and diapers, and per supplies as needed

When it’s time to change your clocks for daylight saving time, check your emergency preparedness stockpile. Replace anything that is expired or missing.

3 easy steps
Check your stockpile twice a year
Check that you have what you need
Replenish supplies that are out of date or missing
Store supplies in an easily accessible container
